The IIH Weekender

The IIH Weekender is a joint project between members of the IIH Support forum and the new UK charity devoted to the neurological condition, Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), IIH UK. It's primarily an opportunity for those with IIH, and those close to someone with IIH to meet up face to face, to have a chat, a laugh, though the Weekenders will also be used to host IIH UK's Annual General Meetings each year.

Although the IIH Weekender is hosted jointly by IIH Support and IIH UK, attendance isn't limited to only forum and IIH UK members (though we hope you might be interested in joining us), anyone with IIH, or affected by IIH is welcome to attend.

Our 3rd Annual Weekender 2010 was a huge success.. This page will be updated once our organisers have had a well earned rest. 

The first annual Weekender was held at the Golden Sands Holiday Park in Mablethorpe in May 2008. The weekend was a great success, attended by over 50 people, and almost £500 was raised for IIH UK.

Thanks to everyone who joined us at our 2009 Weekender held at Pontins, Blackpool who made it such a special and memorable weekend. We hope that everyone enjoyed it and will want to join us again next year. I'm sure you'll all agree that a great time was had by all. The highlight of the weekend had to be Jeans Interactive Octopi, what started out as a fun activity soon turned into a serious IIH discussion!  I wonder what she'll have in store for us this year? 

All in all our 2009 Weekender was a great success.  Pontins staff were amazing, it's a shame Pontins closed in October 09 but I'm sure the staff at the Colonial Hotel will make us feel more than welcome when we arrive in May 2010.
