IIH Weekender 08

IIH Weekender 2008

"It Could Be You"

"Two hours of your life could mean the rest of someone else's"

Friday, 16th May 2008 to Monday, 19th May 2008,
Golden Sands Holiday Park, Nr. Mablethorpe.

The IIH Weekender is a joint project between members of the IIH Support forum and the new UK charity devoted to the neurological condition, Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), IIH UK. It's primarily an opportunity for those with IIH, and those close to someone with IIH to meet up face to face, to have a chat, a laugh, though the Weekenders will also be used to host IIH UK's Annual General Meetings each year.

Although the IIH Weekender is hosted jointly by IIH Support and IIH UK, attendance isn't limited to only forum and IIH UK members (though we hope you might be interested in joining us), anyone with IIH, or affected by IIH is welcome to attend.

The first annual Weekender was held at the Golden Sands Holiday Park in Mablethorpe last month. The weekend was a great success, attended by over 50 people, and almost £500 was raised for IIH UK. We'll be updating the website shortly with comments from those who attended the weekend and photographs too very soon. The team will be having a few weeks rest before we start planning for next year's event, and as soon as details of next year's event are available they'll be here on the website first!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the weekend, and who made it such a special and memorable weekend, and we hope that everyone enjoyed it and will want to join us again next year. Special thanks also to the IIH Weekender team's very own "camp security" who were invaluable in ferrying us and all our equipment around - we couldn't have done it without you boys!
